“I Want to Live” is an Iranian drama TV series directed by Shahram ShahHosseini. It has been released exclusively on Televika in 2021. “I want to Live” is produced by Mohammad Shayesteh. Pouya Saeidi and Pouria Kakavand both serve as the writers of the show while Majid Joulaei is the head writer and developer of the story.
Shahram ShahHosseini (born in1973-Tehran) is an Iranian director. He has started his work in Ostad Kasaei Theater in 1998. He started working in movie production by serving as an assistant director to famous filmmakers such as Rasoul MolaGholiPour, Siamak Shayeghi, and Bahram Beizai. During these years, he also made several short films such as “A Few Kilometers Ahead” and “The Taste of Soil”. He has directed well-received tv series such as “Everything is there”, “the Nurses” and “Eight and a half minutes”.
This is not Mohammad Shayesteh and Shahram Shah Hosseini’s first collaboration. They have also worked together in “Khaneh Dokhtar” a controversial feature produced in 2013, released in a limited way in 2016.
“I want to survive” is a love story, But a romance that faces the bitter taste of destiny. Telling the same story as the masterpieces of classical literature to the popular Persian pulp novels of Fahimeh Rahimi and M Moadabpour, “I want to survive” uses the old rules and conditions as obstacles for love. What gives depth and richness to the way the story is told is the degree of deepening in human relationships and the inner action of the characters.
“I want to survive” is about unpleasant obstacles derived from conditions of a hard time. Unlike those stories nostalgically approaching Iran’s 80s in recent high-grossing Iranian movies like “Nahange Anbar” and “Hezarpa”, “I want to survive” pays more attention to its dark and gloomy aspect. also, the dramatic aspects in the sub-stories are made by the unspoken rumors that are shaped by the political and social events of those years.

Plot summary
